Pros

The initial meetings/interviews/tours are everything that you could dream of when you walk into a manufacturing facility. The decor is inviting, conference rooms comfy with fully stocked fridges, and management has the perfectly bubbly demeanor. Walking the floor you cannot help but take note of the cleanliness of the production floor, and the employees that you have interactions with are polite and personable. Most of the production associates are great people, an extreme pleasure to work with.

Cons

It doesn't take long as an associate to see the truth behind the smiles and posters in the building speaking to Caring Associates and the EOED Program. By Caring Associate they mean they care about their associates working long hours with no extra breaks included. And if you are late even 2 minutes because of weather, traffic, etc - you better expect that it will be noted and brought to your attention. EOED is a joke. Although this should be voluntarily & anonymous if necessary, each suggestion/feedback received is reviewed and if negative Sr Management makes it a point to figure out who it was & you then have a spotlight, an eagle eye on you. Management of all levels will talk about you, your suggestion, and direct and focus. Not on fixing or addressing but watching you. The lack of proper training is apparent on day 1. When you are handed a 3" binder full of papers and a stapled packet to sit and read by yourself for days on end. And just when you think you have gotten to the end, your 'trainer' re-appears with another binder. Or two. And once you have all your signatures in the packet you are good to go. Until there is another compliance training in which a sheet of paper with your name pre-printed gets passed around for a signature. What is this training? Oh just sign it. The benefits have to be quite possibly the worst option that could be offered. The monthly premiums are astronomical, especially if you have a family. You will pay one week of pay for a family to have insurance, and them hope you don't get sick because it's also a high deductible plan. Sure they offer 401K & pet insurance. No maternity, just added in disability. Welcome to the 20th century with that one. Recently they upgraded the systems. What a nightmare. The team set to lead the upgrades were not fully trained on capabilities and the affects on the employees & customers were tremendous. Although there are certainly some advantages to the upgrade, it was handled horribly. To this day the changes affect our customers and the associates. But don't worry, the people in charge of leading the systems upgrades were promoted. A+

Pros

Good people below management, always something new to tackle and learn.

Cons

Bad management, no growth potential unless you get in favor with the C level by brown nosing, aren't rewarded for being a good worker, reactive rather than proactive culture, places blame on anyone but themselves.

Pros

Some nice people to work with, long work hours with plenty of chances for overtime (more $$), safe environment, a great deal to learn with lots of interesting side projects.

Cons

Lots of room for growth but when you try to move up they will try to push you out, when you let someone know you are capable of doing more then they will dump a ton more work on you, not a lot of recognition for personal achievements.
