Pros

Local employees worked well together and supported each other.

Cons

Offices around country work in silos but there is no collaboration across offices or products. If office is not the HQ in CO, you are treated like a second class employee. Healthcare coverage (Wellness plan) is expensive for families as employee pays full cost of office visit. Unlimited PTO means employees are afraid to use it or be labeled replaceable. IT clamps down on approved software that could be used to do job. Once this happened, doing job became much harder. If you found an employee who actually returned your calls or emails from another office, it was a rarity.

Pros

Not a single good thing found compared to CSC, ORACLE, GE and Other US companies where I worked, led and managed the products and services.

Cons

1. Dominated by south indian tamils especially in the leadership role, do not let any other language person, caste person to enter. 2. No creative thinking, Not a good place for one who has top 3 MBA graduate with secured 15 US patents and built 100+ million dollar revenue. 3. Quality of the Leadership team and internal operational efficiency is simply way below the standard. 4. Casteism, Language exists. Top Management and Senior do not have any leadership abilities, it is a cowardship. 5. You will report to someone who is way below your capability, Cognizant looks at immediate placement to the client, not really focus on candidate's complete potential.

Pros

Great benefits and location. I earned a gov't clearance, but I don't think it's active after leaving the project.

Cons

The recruiters lied to me as well as everyone else that they hired for a project. They mentioned that we would be developing software, but we ended up doing customer/production support work. We were on an on-call rotation and most of the time, we couldn't even fix the problems because of their horrible politics and systems altogether. Not to mention they actually moved me to a different group that were using older mainframe technologies. The whole reason I took the job in the first place was to avoid that and it gave me more reason to finally leave the place along with all the other many people who had left the project. The management was so flawed and even threatened to fire people just for taking short breaks in the lunch room. I even heard a case where an employee was assaulted by one of the managers, but also heard he lost his job eventually.
