Pros

Ability to work from home, decent health benefits, some interesting projects and good potential career growth but only if you’re first starting out No other pros to list.

Cons

I was treated like absolute garbage while working at Cognizant. I was berated regularly by the VP in my department who was an extremely demeaning person and nobody seemed to care that I was regularly being treated this way. No work life balance and a horrible toxic culture. Worst company I’ve ever worked for.

Pros

Laid back environment. Free lunch on Friday at Teaneck, NJ location.

Cons

So, so many. Management is horrible; they need training. Cutting throat environment where people will stab you in the back to get ahead. A lot, and I mean - a lot of favoritism. Quantity always takes precedence over quality. If you're a quality person, definitely not a place for you as you will be highly disturbed with the mess you'll encounter. You won't be valued for your high morals and professional work ethics. As a matter of fact, you will be punished for it. Some managers are the worst I've seen in the industry, highly unprofessional, not very knowledgeable, but are rude and disrespectful. If you're not Indian, you won't be company's favorite, guaranteed. They favor Indians. You will be undervalued, underappreciated, and mistreated. And their salaries are below market. All in all, very bad place. You'll hate going into work every day. Promotion is impossible to get.

Pros

Ability to work remotely. Education benefits. College tuition reimbursement. I enjoyed some of my coworkers.

Cons

I was a remote worker. My hours constantly changed. Flexibility translated into me working whenever they wanted me to. Benefits were horrible. They changed PTO rules and many people lost time. Didn't honor hiring agreements. Favoritism. Ineptness rewarded.
