Pros

There are some good people to battle in the trenches with on a daily basis.

Cons

Management team is completely disconnected and does not seem to plan at all. No comp plan, quotas/targets, or guidance given to sales teams within the first half of the year. It’s been communicated that a good chunk of the comp plan is based on company performance, personal performance (which there are no goals defined), and the percentage of college graduates placed in projects you sell, which sales people have no control over. Because there are no sales plans provided and it has been communicated that there are a lot of variables outside of your control, there is no way to calculate your overall compensation and you just have to trust that Cognizant will treat you fairly, which they’ve shown they are not real keen to do. There are no real opportunities to sell services directly into accounts. Rather, you are pulled into RFP after RFP with very little support or chance of winning. There are no boundaries set within the company and you are contacted 24X7 with the expectation that you’ll be accessible.

Incompetent at every level

Pros

- A semi-good learning and training academy

Cons

Management is full people who have been promoted to their level of incompetency. The culture is absolutely toxic. Management raising voices and talking down to others during meetings, rampant nepotism, zero care for any employees other than checking diversity and inclusion checkboxes. The majority of the workforce is in India and the company only cares about low quality, cheap labor. Professionalism is non-existent for the most part. They also have a stack ranked merit system for annual reviews, which is absolute cancer and proves they don't care about attracting and retaining good talent. I've watched Cognizant acquire companies, promise opportunity, then dismantle them and put everyone out of a job. With 300k employees, you are just a single spend line in a budget sheet. Nothing more, nothing les. Find somewhere else, literally anywhere else to work.

Pros

Good onsite oppurtunities; rest everything depends on account to account. Only freshers and dumps at offshore can talk good about company as they dont have the real company.

Cons

No solid control in the organization by top management. Everyone is boss in their own area. High level of politics if you need an accelerated growth. No advance trainings in areas of digital, automation, cloud, etc but ceo only talks about digital in his every mail and videos. Purely, a staffing company. Real cts you will know if you work onsite for a long time.
