Pros

1. Decent salary package 2. Great efforts and initiatives by the HR department to support employees in a WFH environment 3. Company values are good 4. Ambundant training opportunities available if you have time after your actual work

Cons

1. Overwork with no value for work-life balance 2. Immediate POD Managers promise clients of unrealistic deadlines to win projects and later make employees work like donkeys 3. Mandatory 9 hr log in time with a weird justification that you don't have t travel to work anymore due to WFH availability 4. Instead of making junior teammates job-ready by giving appropriate training and support, their work gets dumped onto seniors in the project affecting their personal and work life 5. Disrespectful behavior towards juniors and trainees 6. Except for some good words sent as personal messages on teams or google meet, no real appreciation for the work we do, but our mistakes/misses are always highlighted on team calls. Loved the company, but hated many managers.

Pros

CTS’s EAP offered free access to the mobile app, Ginger, for personal behavioral health coaching.

Cons

I was hired with the title of Senior Systems Engineer, but I was a Help Desk Technician in a call center environment, at best. Bait and switch tactic? On my team, I saw various associates on their personal phone all day, sleeping at their desk, calling out “sick” on Mondays with regularity (and still got paid for regular hours), intentionally working slowly, aggressive tones in communication, and so much more. We were severely underpaid and understaffed at times. If you breathed, you were hired. You could do no wrong to get fired. We were told by team leads that they would address problematic associates, but those problematic behaviors persisted. They would move these people to different shifts or teams to avoid firing them. We knew that they needed bodies to provide adequate phone coverage, and Cognizant hired only the minimal amount of associates needed for this purpose.

Pros

The people you do meet are generally nice

Cons

Unorganised, unchallenging, no social interaction as most teams are spread all over the place and never meet in person.
