Pros

Young group, good place to make friends if you move somewhere new out of college. Happy hour/events. amount of PTO.

Cons

Bad upper management. No accountability on jobs. Partners don't know what their staff are doing, which allow managers to throw lower tiered workers under the bus when it comes to any job shortcomings. Even if there is another partner vouching for a staff's work, if they're not the team you're on, you're going to ultimately get screwed from a raise or getting credit for doing a good job. Workload is never fair. Some people work non-stop where others won't get any work before management doesn't think they're good enough. The pay is also very low in comparison to other firms. There is no matching for the 401k (it's at the discretion of management). No bonuses are paid. The hours are really brutal in tax season. Even if you don't have a lot of work it is frowned upon if you're not there at least 12 hours a day. It's all for show.

Pros

Location and Office People are terrific. Work can be challenging and people in my office very willing to mentor/teach. Opportunities for training are abundant.

Cons

Upper management make decisions that aren't good for the employees, but good on their wallets. Decisions that don't work are ignorned by upper managment. End users are not asked about processes Penny Pinching to an extreme Cap on salaries giving concern about letting go of great employees in favor getting workers for cheap. Pay is below average for the area. Extremely poor communication when changes made.
