Pros

- Heritage brand with great legacy within the Outdoor Industry - Strong backing from parent company for back-end support and streamlining - High quality standards for product - Strong operationally for an extremely large organization, streamlined with excellent leveraging opportunities

Cons

- Culturally this company struggles, morale is low across the organization and there is no platform to change. If you ask the majority of people they would jump ship if the opportunity arose, which is really sad for such a great legacy brand! - This company has lost so much institutional knowledge by either losing great staff to other companies, or trying to save $ by massive employee cuts - Resource starved for all product categories - Little to no marketing budget or resources to launch new product initiatives - Executive management team is polarizing and mass oriented, with very few connections to the retail community, this is a volume focused brand that will take a generation to get back to where they were, if there is a plan to change the image! Unfortunately the smaller retailer gets little to no attention, which the brand was built on

N/A. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Cons

No clear long or short term strategy, especially on how to address current challenges the industry and company are facing. No strong mid-management to properly and effectively execute roles and responsibilities and manage staff. No communication from senior management to employees. No employee trust or empowerment. Benefits are not top tier.
