Pros

Extremely stable, no-surprises performance. Interesting, rewarding exchange with other geographies. Robust reputation and Brands.

Cons

Company is extremely self-centered, has a very low interest in preempting Competiton and is slow to react. Culture runs deep, and challenging the Status Quo is not welcome; coming into Colgate at a level beyond middle management is often frustrating as bringing in ideas from previous experience is not valued above "the way it's always been done". Compensation is sub-par, and when a promotion happens, raises are also inferior to external offers.
