Money's good for the non-profit sector, I'm not happy with my position, but it's hard to tell if the issue is my specific manager, or the organization

In my group, it doesn't seem that there's a lot of respect for younger workers.

-Great Benefits! -Lots of employment opportunities! (A lot of expansion) -Great mission (you feel like you're working for a good cause) -Everyone is in someway passionate about expanding equity in education -Lots of progression and innovation -A company people are proud to work for

-Employees are often overworked and stressed -Lack mentorship of employees from management -Sometimes too focused on the end goal and not the process -competitive environment

Easy going culture for employees. Employees are in retirement mode. They hire consultants to do real work. Generally good people except few black sheeps.

Cons

Too much politics. Naturally if too many idle minds get together, this will happen. Many entrenched employees power-trip and vent on consultants.
