Pros

Prior to acquisition, Bergmann Associates was a great place to work.

Cons

Upon being acquired by Colliers Engineering and Design, the compensation, benefits, bonus structure and growth potential were all significantly reduced, Despite assurances that all would remain the same, benefits specifically 401K, all had increases in cost and reduction in benefits. Similarly, salary increases in Rochester were less than those in the NJ office. Promotions are also given to NJ based employees at a significantly higher rate (even accounting for the office size differences).

Pros

lots of resources to learn and improve your skills. Easy to transfer to other cities due to large company size. Competitive pay.

Hard-headed management who doesn't listen to how they could improve morale and efficiency. This leads to a culture of discontent among field workers
