Pros

- Compared to other property consultants I have worked for, Colliers is way more professional in their approach and in their processes - Colleagues had a good balance of work hard/ play hard. Made going to work fun - Colliers had a dedicated Colliers University which regularly updated lessons on industry changes which was useful

Cons

- The office leasing department in the Singapore office only focuses on tenant representation (no landlord representation so as to avoid conflict of interest). This forces the brokers to constantly "hunt" for clients which can be extremely exhausting. Although Colliers has built up a strong tenant rep business model in Singapore, this approach is very different from the other major players, where their brokers represent landlords 50% of the time and customers another 50% of the time (i.e. other brokers have an easier time)

Pros

The culture of the Wisconsin office is very unique in the CRE industry, it is a work hard/play hard atmosphere and it is obvious that everyone here enjoys their job. The people are fantastic, they are both very friendly and knowledgeable about their jobs. I work in the marketing group which at our office is still growing and becoming stronger. The brokers especially have a great opportunity of learning from the experienced guys. If you're a dedicated employee they show their appreciation and how much they value you.

Cons

Outside of brokerage it can be difficult to see the areas for job growth, although I believe this is changing as the company matures and grows. At times there can be a divide between the brokers vs. marketing & other support staff.
