The Columbia Bank "Merger" was a disaster All the best people have left Umpqua policies and procedures were forgotten or discarded, and we reverted to the smaller banks policies and procedures. Return to office has been a failure and they are doubling down on it More good people are leaving Communication from management about initiatives or changes is limited or inaccurate Top down management via decree Moving to micro management No remote, in office only No real vision

Umpqua continues to be dead last in pay. They simply do not offer what other banks in the region offer. Umpqua will simply expect you do work like a salaried employee. They have such a bad turn over rate. It was a job that caused me constant anxiety because you are always guilty until proven innocent for even the smallest mistakes. They over work what employees they do have, and do not compensate accordingly.
