Pros

Ok pay for the physical labor involved. Unionized so the benefits are good.

Cons

Terrible Work Environment - The Union labor versus Corporate Management situation can make this company unbearable on the warehouse side. Feels like management does not know how to treat its workers with the respect they deserve. Obviously the bottom line is the goal for any business but their could be more of a balance between caring for the employees and the creation of company policy. Often battle silly beauracracy when efficient logistics should be the goal.

Pay is okay, beer is cheap. Decent health benefits. Nothing special.

Cons

Aging company, not ideal for anyone looking to advance career. Old boys club feel, ran by aggressive old men who can't spell or formulate emails. It's like deciphering the Da Vinci code. If you're looking to waste 20yrs of your life doing the same thing every day with no appreciation, this is the place. High stress, low reward. No incentives, poor self-care. People get burnt out and lashout.

Position is nice as a ladder towards a better sales position, use your time at Columbia to gain experience in another field to move to another company to earn more wages. They pay far less than most other sales company, managers stay loyal to producers only.

Cons

Not a well paying job No clear advancement structure Company changes pay scale on a whim and then blames employees for the changes. This is not a disgruntled person, I left on my own accord, this was an actual event that happened.
