Pros

you learn a lot technically because you troubleshoot many issues across multiple combinations of environments and versions access to VM environments and multiple server software versions/types

Cons

You are on your own at this company. If you are a good self-learning, self-motivated person and do not require much attention or employee accolades, then it is a good place to learn a lot technically for the short term There are a lot of good technical resources however, you will not work in a team. You are on your own to learn and you can get information from people if you push, but there is really no team environments. Everyone is so busy and buried, that each person is just trying to keep up with their own queues. Company is very sales oriented and that is where the attention and rewards are focused. Once the support is sold, the quality of how that support is delivered is is an afterthought and usually responding to the loudest complaining customer small, cramped cubes and very noisy some people work from home full time but if you live anywhere near corporate you cannot work from home at all - no logic or reasoning behind that decision upper management is small, tight group of old friends and family who have no business being in management and would not survive at a public corporation no employee survey/feedback is sought after. If you give any; it is ignored. Company has no interest in evolving or allowing new approaches/ideas; negative and vengeful attitude toward employees many unethical salary "games"; example: offer sign bonus based on some unattainable/un-established certification, push reviews out for multiple months and delay any raises - so in 4 years you may have 2 review/raise, no logic/process to amount of raise and will avoid raising pay anyway they can, low raises if any is given, regardless of performance, company profit or contribution to companies success no effort or thought is put towards employee satisfaction or corporate culture. It is a one way relationship and you are on your own

Pros

Support for technical training on BMC Software products and ITIL certification is strong. There are many opportunities to expand your technical skills.

Cons

Column is the definition of a unhealthy workplace. The different management styles of the two leaders (one passive-aggressive, the other simply aggressive) make this a tense, very difficult place to work. Screaming matches are a regular occurrence, and sales staff are often subject to layoffs if they do not produce immediately. Since I can't imagine anyone other than the owners' family leaving a positive review, I'm certain the other posters are correct and the positive reviews here are fictional.
