Pros

- Full-time remote work has been wonderful. I enjoy my work from home environment so it has been a good job in that respect. - The training staff are warm and friendly - I have a kind and supportive team lead - Flexible work schedule

Cons

- Company focuses more on productivity than quality of client care - Team Leads are not all on the same page about things which makes learning the job very confusing for new employees - starting pay is low - only get a 30 min. lunch break - long-term employees don't seem to be very nice to new incoming employees (over email) - training does not prepare consultants adequately enough for the job, you basically have to learn as you go and continue to make mistakes before getting the hang of things - phone system is outdated, there are nonstop technical issues which gets very frustrating - PTO is hard to accrue, less than 3 weeks per year and holiday time off is scarce

Pros

I am a long-tenured employee at ComPsych for multiple reasons. First, the team I work with is top notch and we get along very well. For me, this is a deal-breaker. Next, my manager is actually interested in my opinions and trusts in my abilities. Believe me; it is not easy to find leadership that is both knowledgeable and supportive. Another thing I value highly is the ability to adjust my work-life balance, especially when COVID hit. Lastly, this is a large company, so if your current position isn’t quite right, there are opportunities to move into another position that suits you better. If you enjoy being a part of a team, like making a difference in the lives of others and can adjust to the demands of a fast paced environment, then this is the place to be!

Cons

The work is fast-paced, after all, it is the world’s largest EAP company, so multitasking is not just a catch phrase, you must be well organized and efficient. This also means that sometimes you’ll need to work longer hours to get the job done. If you can’t handle heavy work load or have difficulty with organizational and time management skills, you will struggle. I think there is room for improvement within the structure of the various departments. I’d like to see more positions that promote upward mobility versus lateral movement.
