Pros

Great people to work with! Recently there have been changes in management and they are for the better. It is truly an open door policy. It appears that HR and upper management are looking for leaders that listen and are open and honest. Yes the GRU is a call center. As a person that has worked in call centers the GRU really works to de-emphasize the fact that it is a call center. Yes there can be a lot of sparks but really that is the quickest way to communicate with over 80 people and 3 leaders. Every spark I've received has been respectful and on target. We just need to communicate to management if we need additional after call time.

Cons

Benefits can be better. We just had enrollment and they have made changes for the good. No increase in premiums Which is unheard of. Short term disability benefits are a bit high which drives some of my peers to not elect that benefit which then turns them to FMLA. As we grow I really think changes need to be communicated sooner and more often. Some of the existing management needs to step up to the new way or find other opportunities.

Pros

You'll be challenged; in the worst sense.

Cons

First and foremost, the trainer has favorites, and she also treats others like garbage. Be prepared to be ridiculed GRU is a terrible department. It may actually be better in other departments, or easy to stay for 10+ years when you aren't being scrutinized by 6+ bosses, or maybe where you're actually recognized by the CEO, but you are not valued in GRU. You're there for coverage, and to serve a bottom line. Any one of these reviews that tells you otherwise was not actually written by someone in the department, or works their currently. A good employer pays an appropriate sum for the job worked, has mentorship available, is actively involved, offers APPRECIATION & VALUE to employees, empowers their employees, or maybe even trusts them and these are simply not things you'll find here. The company runs on meeting the needs of its clients, but fails in meeting the needs of its own employees. For an Employee Assistance Program, this is absolutely ridiculous
