Pros

- Nearby happy hour bars, which are much needed.

Cons

- While working here Bed Bugs were found on our floor. We were still required to come to work with no safety precautions. - No Break Room because Bed Bugs were initially found in the break room and it was not refinished after extermination. - Newly hired Guidance Consultants are put on a waiting list for Clinical Supervision. For example, I was hired in March and did not attend supervision until June. (3 months of work not documented towards hours needed for licensure) - Evaluated by Team Leaders/ Managers by number of calls taken, rather than clinical quality of support given to our clients. - Awful Pay/Salary. - Minimal PTO. - 3 Sick Days per year. - Christmas Eve is a work day. - Horrible Health Insurance benefits. - Unprofessional and incompetent Managers/ Team Leaders. - No room for growth. - No raises. - Zero company events (no holiday parties). - Employees punch in and out. - Guidance Consultants/Employees are not allowed to speak to colleagues to build professional relationships. - Dirty work environment - Lunches are stolen from the refrigerator. - Micromanaged non-stop. - Anxiety ridden environment. - Negative work environment. - Managers play the "favorites" game. - Employees experience clinical burn-out quickly. - Team Leaders/Managers play the "favorites" game with employees. - Talk down to by management.

Pros

Very nice people to work with and office space. Benefits were okay. Nice spot to be if you like the hussle and bussle of downtown Chicago. The views from the customer service area was beautiful.

Cons

The amount of calls and issues were sometimes a bit too much (sad). I almost needed a counselor after a week of taking some of the calls. It was too sad for me so I left one day and never returned. I wanted to tell everyone good bye but it was just to depressing of a position. Maybe someone with thicker skin could do this job and that's okay.

High Stress and Drama. Not Much Fun.

Pros

The pay is fine (enough to not complain, but nothing to brag about). There is a lot of change and growth (although most growth is entry-level). It's ok to work at while you look for something else.

Cons

Teams are underfunded and it is normal to work with 2 or 3 empty positions that are never filled, causing extra work and stress for everyone. The company doesn't trust the employees, and the employees don't trust each other. There is so much childish drama, it's unbelievable. Management plays by completely different rules than what average workers must obey. The technology is outdated. The company is so cheap, it is nearly impossible to find a stapler or nice scissors. Often I felt isolated, never having the chance to talk to anyone during the day, since there was so much work being on a team missing members. It was hard to make friends because of all the clique drama and passive aggression. I've never worked in a place so socially toxic. Workers often throw each other under the bus, and/or don't take responsibility and blame the next person down on the ladder. The floor I worked on had very little sunlight, and looked dingy.
