Pros

The commission was good and the training was exceptional. I've gone on to use that training in my every day life. It changed my world for the better!

Cons

Being in the insurance business is difficult but while Combined Insurance's training was exceptional, actually being in the field was a completely different story. Perhaps it was the trainer I got (but I don't think so), but there was no real support. There was badgering and old school pressuring and none of the training they provided was actually put into practice "in the real world." I would've like to have been able to apply the training but instead it was nothing but breathing down my neck. I feel like I was mislead in a big way. Many good things out of this company but the actual work was atrocious. Old models. My trainer was losing money. Only one or two people in the area actually made a decent living.

Pros

You do get a paid flight to Chicago for training.

Cons

They tell you that they have "leads", which is extremely enticing in the Insurance industry. You think, "No cold calling". Wrong. You go door to door. Not at all what they lead you to believe.

Pros

Take the free trip to Chicago for training if you want - met nice people. The training is worthless once you get back home where the managers will train you their way. Be warned, the person who interviewed you probably won't train you.

Cons

Ask your potential trainer what they make per week - is it more or less than what you want? You probably won't make more than them. Learn the do not call laws and beware of managers who tell you to call those on the list.
