Pros

Good basic sales training for a person who doesn't know any better.

Cons

It's like working for the mafia. If you don't brown nose and work 100 hours a week, you aren't anything. You are told how bad your doing and won't be promoted. But when all the managers quit due to the worst market director ever, then no matter what your talent level, you are told you can get promoted. Hypocrites.

Pros

There is never a dull moment. It was important to me to sell something I believed in, and I am a policyholder to this day. I met some amazing, interesting co-workers and clients during my 2.5 years with the company.

Cons

It is incredibly difficult to make a living during your first year+ in the field. Management places tremendous pressure on agents and sales managers without providing remotely adequate support. Be prepared to travel 30-80% of the time and to put an insane amount of wear and tear on your car. Combined provides excellent insurance policies but uses and abuses its employees.

Pros

They have excellent training in their home office and really seem to care about their employees and customers.

Cons

Weak lead system hard to build a continuous lead stream. Management seems to use too much of the warm body approach to hiring rather than finding and developing good quality agents and managers.
