Pros

The benefits are robust and good.

Cons

Literally everything from poor systems, low pay, lack of synchronicity between departments, and certain managers who have no clue what they're doing.

Pros

$$$$$, you can make a lot of money here

Cons

Micromanaging, rushed, not able to give proper attention and care to customers who need it. when I was hired, I was promised 2 hours/week off the phone time to work on emails, orders, call backs ect - that never happened unless i begged for it, and even when i was granted a tiny bit of time off the phone, i would be interrupted 20 minutes into working on my project to be told to get back on the phones. Retention is the garbage disposal where all the customers who SALES AGENTS screwed over with policy ommissions or overselling end up. Comcast managers often ignore the shady selling practices sales agents use, and I've seen them even encourage lying. These are antiquated sales tactics that are disgusting. Almost every person on the phone you speak with is irate because of being mislead. An AI judges your calls. They force you to try to UPSELL CELLPHONES to people who are calling to cancel. The incentives suck, they give you "comcastbux" as i call them - they are comcast points that you can spend on stupid crap in their comcast store. It's like an arcade store, sure they have big-ticket items but they're like 7k comcastbux and the incentive prizes are for like 100 comcastbux, so you end up just accumulating 500 and getting an ice scoop THAT TURNS OUT TO BE EXTREMELY SMALL AND CAN ONLY HOLD 2 ICE CUBES. How patronizing. oh, and the work culture omg - it's like a cult everyone has to act as though Comcast isn't one of the worst companies to be born from capitalism. and work-life balance???? yeah say bye to that. to get my work done (because you are only allowed 3 minutes in between calls) i had to come in an hour early and stay an hour late every. single. day. and i'm a very time-efficient person, i hate working so i want to get it done efficiently and accurately as possible so i don't have to redo it later. i felt like i was doing the job of 10 agents with how productive i was. That is probably why i made so much money. 8 hours a day of being yelled at and micromanaged, all while having to do it with a smile like it was a gift from god. quitting was the most enjoyment i got out of that place.
