Pros

I love love loved this job. The product worked well for clients. They had great training and loved the people. Benefits are great and when you hit your numbers they really take care of you.

Cons

The market is oversaturated with too many sales people so only 4 or 5 people make good money. My biggest compeition was not being able to call on business because if you are a favorite of the dos then you get to call on it. They recently went through a restructure and made the job impossible by requireing too much of the sales person. The compensation isnt great because they simply have too huge of a sales team. They say they promote within, yet of the last two sales managers hired, not one came internally with several people wanting the job. Also the chargback policy is a joke. You loose your commissions if you dont collect in time because they dont have an accounting team that supports sales.. never have I ever had to do that! Its a joke!

Pros

Free cable and used to be great people..(they are all gone).

Cons

Stress will kill you. Constant change, nothing is ever consistent. They are hiring uneducated people to do jobs that college graduates used to do. Very little training so getting something done is next to zero. All positions are salaried so they work you to death. They will tell you are they are all for the customer....no they are not...they are all for the dollars.

Pros

Courtesy Services are great, Benefits package, Stock Options, Tuition Reimbursement. There is growth potential at Comcast. I love the fact that most Leadership folks have been promoted into the role.

Cons

In order to be successful it is important that you are SELF MOTIVATED- go in do your job and leave. You must be a real sales person and not order taker. Can you turn a No into a Yes? Do you need constant motivation from others? You can't expect for everyone to come on your line and want to buy every product, it's up to you to present the value. You have to treat this job like its YOUR Business, keep track of your customers and tasks that you need to complete. The good thing about the job is that you are selling products that everyone knows - cable, internet, security, home phone and cell phone. It's easy if you make it easy. Be a SELF starter and the sky is the limited, Things change very quickly, metrics, products etc. be able to adapt, As a new Hire be prepared to work evening and weekends and holidays the 1st year of employement.
