Pros

You get health care, and time off.

Cons

Comcast / Effectv is just another greedy corporation. They rolled out new software, had us testing it, perfecting it, training it. All the while being told it would not affect our jobs that it in fact would open up other opportunities for us to do different work, more important work. This was all a lie because they didn't want people to jump ship. Then they laid off 100's of workers. I have personally gone through 3 corporate greed induced layoffs with this company. I was only in this role for 2 years and already taking on more and doing the job better than many of my counter parts,. but because i had less accumulated metrics I was not chosen to stay on. I and many others were asking each and every month "what does this mean for our jobs? what are we going to do if this automated software is taking over so much?" Each and every month we were told not to worry, our jobs were safe. 10 years and 3 lay offs is enough to never want to work for this company again. They also under pay in redlined cities, lower income cities. So while some people complain about DEI being shoved down their throats, i say that's not a problem, DEI is good, we should all learn to be more open minded and respectful of others, I'm a woman, so if you're not a white man, you're benefiting from DEI culture. It's not the real problem of the company, The real problem is their greed. They will lay us all off then have a company wide meeting talking about their recent corporate trip to mexico, and the department head's new Yacht... read the room you callous greedy suits. Real people are the backbone of this company, and real people get shat on daily. My 10 years meant nothing when i was brought back into the company. I came back to a higher position and they gave me a paycut because of my zip code. Gave a brand new hire guy $2/.hr more than me. They do not care about their people, they do not respect your abilities, your time with them, anything. They are business first and care only for their profit margin. They were profitable not not as much as the previous year. They will cut people first. If you're lucky to stay, you'll get a 25 cent raise and senior management will get much much more. Living paycheck to paycheck working for such a huge company is what is wrong with this country.

Pros

I guess that I'm employed

Cons

They just reduced all pay 12% company wide for Account Executives. They say that this will actually benefit us at years end. But that only holds true if you're in a big market. They are completely unrealistic about the cable industry dying and act like they have state of the art technology. (They do not maybe if it was 1885). They will Micro Manage and Gaslight you constantly. Ignoring any call for help you may have and pretending like they know it all is constant from upper management.

Pros

What makes working here special is the incredible people who surround you, lifting you up, cheering you on, and showing genuine care. It's not just about Effectv itself; it's the fantastic coworkers and supportive direct management that make the experience truly memorable. They create an environment that motivates, challenges, and rewards. These individuals are the heart of our success, turning every workday into something to look forward to. Plus, the added perk of great benefits just adds to the positivity of the whole experience.

Cons

Despite having supportive colleagues and managers, the Company itself lags behind in product development and experiences. While our competitors are surging ahead, we find ourselves struggling to keep pace. Instead of heeding the insights of frontline employees, decision-makers seem to favor leaders who lack firsthand selling experience. Over the years, I've observed numerous changes that primarily benefit those in executive positions rather than the individuals who contribute to building the company. This organization has consistently witnessed the departure of remarkable talents while retaining individuals who do not align with Effectv's mission and values. There seems to be a lack of appreciation for both clients and the dedicated efforts of Account Executives. We used to be a company that valued every client, regardless of their spending capacity or business size, offering exceptional experiences and gratitude. However, as our competitors elevate their game, we appear to be regressing. Sales thrive on relationships, and it appears that Effectv is drifting away from that fundamental aspect. I wouldn't be surprised if, in a few years, the company becomes purely transactional or faces the risk of elimination.
