Pros

Lots of areas to bring value, they need the help because they don't know what they are doing. Working peers are very supportive, collaborative, encouraging. Great facilities. Good company perks from greater Comcast. Despite the below there are some good people there.

Cons

- Extreme micromanagement even at Sr. Manager levels and above. with a culture of compliance not results or progress & innovation.. - RTO can be flexible if your manager allows it. 4 days in-office one day of your choosing remote. + 1 "work anywhere" week annually (work anniversary not calendar year) - Lots of great facility and technology resources but management blocks ability to use them. - Managers are unable to articulate role expectations until they threaten to fire you for not meeting them. Expectations are a constantly moving target and completely subjective to your manager's mood when doing your annual review. - RSU vesting schedule is what keeps people there for so long. Not the "people" like they will tell you. - Very confusing & convoluted PTO system with little to no roll over. - Prepare for lots of talk about process and no delivery with "too many cooks in the kitchen" making delivery nearly impossible. - Its a job, decent pay, but be prepared for it to have a heavy mental and emotional cost outside of work. - Sr+ leaders will "pivot" entire projects to make it look like they are producing results to Comcast leadership. When in reality they are not and don't know how to.

Pros

They sometimes, kinda-sorta pay attention to quarterly polls and "improve" things, though they never seem to improve the most important issue, which has been top of the charts EVERY time: Pay. They do also provide decent benefits, though at the rate of pay, using them would practically make the wage unlivable in the areas most of those people work without a secondary income.

Cons

They will legitimately lie directly to your face. A large group of people are in the process of being laid off at the moment. A year ago, they assured them job security while a new transition was going into place, and a year later they are laying off a fifth of the team who received that assurance.

Pros

Effectv is a Comcast company, it is responsible for the advertising side of the company. Because of this, the job opportunity pool is very large to choose from. Benefits are better than most. Fertility care is covered in insurance plans. Cable services are extremely cheap.

Cons

The company wants you to have time to expand your knowledge but with the workload, you can't utilize that time. Deadlines are tight. Management can't keep employees in some departments long enough because the employees are worked too hard. Management creates higher to reach goals to kick someone out the door if they dont fit into their plan. Compensation is very low compared to other companies. Inclusion is only inclusive for some, not all. You are not free to have your own beliefs if you do not agree with the majority or follow along. Upper management is completely clueless.
