Pros

good pay. excellent benefits.wonderful perks

Cons

The HR needs to be more sensitve to a persons personal situations and understand that people go thru personal things. The whole comcast cares is a sham they do not care about you at all as an employee, trainee or contractor. I was told that if i didnt have certain information in that i was waiting on to come in the mail that i could be replaced by another candidate thou i wont reveal the location i will say that it was told to me from an HR manager in the midwest region and I felt very nonconfident about my position stability and this basically ruins my prospective about comcast because i didnt have certain documentation in due to i.d. theft does not give you grounds to say disheartening things like that to me. I really feel like my confidence in Hr to help me is zero to none. To all new people coming into comcast "proceed with caution"

Bad Management

Pros

Discounted cable, but you still pay for equipment rentals, repairs and installations ,I would say that the real difference is 80-100 bucks less than what a regular not comcast employee pays. Not worth it at all. Pay is low and the Florida Division is ran like a going out of business place. Minimum head count, obsolete softwares, really old computers, furniture and cubicles from the 80's

Cons

Managers and directors, dont really know what they are doing. They just delegate. My Manager for example i would ask a question and... I would get answers like " Why are you asking me a question, is your job to know it " Other Ae's in other offices also complained of the same issue that middle and upper are no help at all... H.R does not help either, you report a manager or a director. Congratulations ... You will now be fired with in the next months on your first mistake or slip.

Pros

You get free cable, internet and phone. Coffee and snacks are provided.

Cons

The turnover in this department is ridiculously high. Why? If you look at the job post for this position, it says "Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary." That's not a lie. It's necessary to work looooonnnng hours. Be prepared to work on weekends, early morning to midnight or sometimes you get no sleep at all, and the pay is entry level (no overtime and weekend pay). They forgot to mention that Account Planners have so much projects that they can't even have lunch or go to the bathroom. Just be prepared not to have a life. Comcast Spotlight a very stressful environment. It's all about reaching that SALES GOAL! You get a lot of phone calls, emails non stop and Account Executives bothering you even on your vacation or death bed. The management only supports the Account Execs and dump all the projects to the Account Planners. Account Planners get sick all the time because of the stress and long hours of work. The worst part is they give you the worst supervisor who doesn't have any leadership skills at all. The Account Executives have no clue of what they're doing and will throw the Account Planners under the bus for their mistakes. So, if you don't have a life, you like a stressful environment and be surrounded by toxic Account Executives, be an AP!
