Pros

Interesting and challenging network problems to work on. Perhaps the best in the industry. Awesome and knowledgeable people to work with and learn from.

Cons

Across the board pay cuts for network engineer job codes. Large pay cuts for the more senior ones. Zero promotions available for the last 5 plus years for senior network engineers. Days in office accounting policy requires you to make up days you take off as vacation or sick because they are counted against your required attendance. Seemingly endless rounds of job cuts makes everyone worry about job stability. Chronic understaffing and wildly unrealistic deadlines as with most/all other companies.

Pros

Great schedule flexibility including generous sick leave and vacation. Good health benefits Good Pay for the work. Ended around 25$ hourly after yearly merit increases, expected to be about a dollar. Working from home

Cons

Extreme push for sales metrics now compared to when I started 5 years ago. 50% of the scorecard is now based on sales. I don't recommend anyone applying for their customer service posistions unless you are comfortable and willing to take a sales role. Opportunities for advancement beyond the role were restricted. While we were encouraged to internally apply for any other new positions, new job postings were only open on average 5 days at a time, so unless you checked constantly, there was a strong chance you would miss something you were qualified for.
