Pros

1. Competitive Compensation & Benefits Strong salary packages with bonuses and stock options. Comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching). Employee discounts on Comcast services like Xfinity and NBCUniversal products. 2. Career Growth & Development Opportunities for internal mobility within Comcast and NBCUniversal. Learning & development programs, tuition reimbursement, and certifications. Exposure to cutting-edge technology in AI, data analytics, and cloud computing. 3. Stability & Reputation A Fortune 50 company with long-term stability. Strong market presence in media, telecommunications, and streaming. 4. Innovation & Technology Focus Access to big data projects and advanced machine learning applications. Involvement in 5G, AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity initiatives. 5. Work Culture & Diversity An inclusive work environment with DEI initiatives. Flexible work options (hybrid/remote roles in many teams). Employee resource groups (ERGs) for networking and support. 6. Perks & Work-Life Balance Free or discounted cable/internet services for employees. On-site gyms, wellness programs, and childcare assistance (in some locations). Paid time off and volunteer opportunities.

Cons

1. Bureaucracy & Slow Decision-Making As a large corporation, processes can be slow and bureaucratic. Multiple layers of management can make decision-making inefficient. 2. Workload & Pressure High expectations in certain roles, especially in sales, data, and tech teams. Some positions require long hours and weekend availability, depending on deadlines. 3. Company Reputation & Customer Perception Comcast has faced public criticism for customer service, which can impact morale. Employees in customer service and sales roles may deal with frustrated customers. 4. Limited Remote Work in Some Roles While some teams offer remote/hybrid work, others require on-site presence (especially in customer operations and field roles). 5. Corporate Culture & Hierarchy Some employees report a political environment where career progression is influenced by internal networking. Frequent organizational restructuring can lead to uncertainty in roles.

Pros

-Benefits are robust for industry standards -Leadership was typically pretty solid, but can be hit or miss. Had some of my best leaders at this company and some of the worst. -Pay is lower than other companies, but benefits can outweigh this for some people. Work/Life balance was important to me and it was balanced very well -Opportunities to grow are plenty, but see cons below

Cons

-Take this for what you will, but I was an extremely hard working employee who moved up from a residential technician to a network engineer through a rigorous selection process. After a year into my new role as Net Eng 1, I was laid off even after being told no jobs were at risk of being cut from an ongoing reorganization.

Pros

You get health care, and time off.

Cons

Comcast / Effectv is just another greedy corporation. They rolled out new software, had us testing it, perfecting it, training it. All the while being told it would not affect our jobs that it in fact would open up other opportunities for us to do different work, more important work. This was all a lie because they didn't want people to jump ship. Then they laid off 100's of workers. I have personally gone through 3 corporate greed induced layoffs with this company. I was only in this role for 2 years and already taking on more and doing the job better than many of my counter parts,. but because i had less accumulated metrics I was not chosen to stay on. I and many others were asking each and every month "what does this mean for our jobs? what are we going to do if this automated software is taking over so much?" Each and every month we were told not to worry, our jobs were safe. 10 years and 3 lay offs is enough to never want to work for this company again. They also under pay in redlined cities, lower income cities. So while some people complain about DEI being shoved down their throats, i say that's not a problem, DEI is good, we should all learn to be more open minded and respectful of others, I'm a woman, so if you're not a white man, you're benefiting from DEI culture. It's not the real problem of the company, The real problem is their greed. They will lay us all off then have a company wide meeting talking about their recent corporate trip to mexico, and the department head's new Yacht... read the room you callous greedy suits. Real people are the backbone of this company, and real people get shat on daily. My 10 years meant nothing when i was brought back into the company. I came back to a higher position and they gave me a paycut because of my zip code. Gave a brand new hire guy $2/.hr more than me. They do not care about their people, they do not respect your abilities, your time with them, anything. They are business first and care only for their profit margin. They were profitable not not as much as the previous year. They will cut people first. If you're lucky to stay, you'll get a 25 cent raise and senior management will get much much more. Living paycheck to paycheck working for such a huge company is what is wrong with this country.
