Pros

The only pro is that our jobs haven't been replaced by AI (yet).

Cons

Comcast recently changed our "hybrid" (if you can even call it that) from 3 days in the office, to 4. They say that they value work/life balance (it's on their careers page and it's mentioned to do during the interview process), but they are punishing us by forcing us to cram into the office for absolutely no other reason that being behind on the times. We (employees) keep the company running and this is the thanks we get. So much for being loyal to the company.

Pros

Good benefits - People join young and don't know any better - end up in Sr Director or VP roles but still have the mentality of call center reps.

Cons

If you're "in" with the right people (the "lifers") you basically get away with whatever you want. No critical thinking allowed, backstabbing, childish behaviors - even in Leadership roles. It's one big click and if someone in the click doesn't like you - they look for ways to get rid of you. If you are a conformist follower you will do well here. I actually think I got dumber working with these people.

Pros

Work from home, pay, benefits, lots of paid time off, deeply discounted cable services, 401K, etc.

Cons

If you enjoy working in a environment where reality/logic is suspended, you're micromanaged, confusion abounds, poor communication runs rampant, terrible tools hinder you, vague expectations that do not make much sense (and change often), and being held accountable for literally EVERYONE else's work, then the engineering side is for you! The company as a whole is very cult-like: Everything is great! Comcast is great! Rah-rah-rah! Anyone who dares not to buy into the love-bombing, gas-lighting, and have independent thought are not welcome. If you have any sense of professionalism and an IQ that isn't rivaling that of a single-celled amoeba, you are best served looking at other places for employment.
