I worked overnights and enjoyed the solitude and relative freedom. So long as you are dependable, attentive to the few guests you encounter, and get your work done, the remaining time can be used quite leisurely.

Cons

Extroverts may not like the isolation of overnight shifts Not very good pay/compensation Wedding nights mean drunk guests which can be annoying/aggravating I found it difficult to defend our breakfasts when I worked there, which consisted of microwaving almost everything

Chill at times, but slightly shady and busy during events in town

Mostly very laid back - plenty of downtime to just chill on the spot

Cons

Shift hours Awkward and shady guests at times Very hectic during home football games and other university-related events (graduation, etc.) No health insurance or other benefits
