Pros

As with working in any hotel, you get to meet new people on a daily basis. The job was never boring and it provided plenty of challenges. All in all, the work part of the job was amazing. Once it got dark in the evening, we had a way to lock the doors for security and we interacted with the guests through a window with a type of teller slot in it.

Cons

The business is located in an out of the way spot surrounded by woods and could be a bit scary if working there at night (was always only one person on duty at night with no security guard). The pay was very low and the rooms weren't very nice. We had a lot of customer complaints about rooms.

Pros

I get to meet people from all over the world and have had the pleasure of them sharing their lives with me. The schedule is made months in advance which makes it easier to plan around. I've learned a lot about office work and predicting market trends.

Cons

There are no opportunities for advancement and or regular pay raises no matter quality of work or length of employment. It's extremely difficult to get time off, even if it is a family emergency or health problem. They offer no health benefits of any kind.
