Safe, supportive environment in which to work.
Pros
The supervisors and managers are always willing to work with the employees to improve their working experiences. The employees are paid an hourly wage rather than a dollar amount per room. All employees work together to achieve the common goals, which are based on creating a positive experience for the guests. They will hire those who don't have experience in the particular job, so there is always room for those individuals who do have a positive attitude and are drug free. The guests are great to have as customers. The hotel staff has monthly pot lucks, and has a family atmosphere. The business outlook has to always strive to keep up the good work, because the hotel is #1 (2nd year in a row) of the Comfort Inns in the nation!
Cons
There is only one elevator, which is as slow as molasses. You will often need to take the stairs, but you will get used to hiking up three steps at a time. Because of the Comfort Inn notebook arrangement, the tip envelope often goes unnoticed in the front pocket of the notebook. So the tip envelope is "out of site, out of mind".
