Worst Job Ever

Pros

Nothing positive to say about this company

Cons

The supervisors and all they employees are catty and they feed off of drama. You do not get paid enough for the job you do. At the franchise I worked at some checks bounced and they would take hours off of your paychecks so they wouldnt have to pay you for them. The supervisors never verified any information before taking disciplinary actions

Inadequate Training, Ridiculous Pay

Pros

The scheduling is fairly flexible

Cons

For someone who has never worked as a nurse's aide or caregiver before, beginning this job would be highly stressful. Aside from a few online orientation courses which cover only the state-mandated training concerning HIPAA and safety procedures, there is no training relevant to the actual job. There is no "hands-on" training, so you're essentially thrown in to your first day completely blind. Though the tasks required of an employee are not always very difficult, it is still a very stressful situation. The "care plans" for each client are very vague. I had to learn basically everything on the job. They need to invest more time and effort in constructing a more detailed care plan that outlines the clients needs and challenges. Management also needs to make a conscious effort to communicate any changes to the clients needs to those caregivers who are working with him/her. Also, the pay is horrible. I made the same amount of money when I was 16 working a summer job (and that was a long time ago!)
