BEWARE! - Skeezy HR Practices

Pros

The work was remote and some of the supervisors were helpful. Initial trainings are useful.

Cons

Honestly this place is so disorganized, and I felt a lot of pressure from certain staff. There were people on my team not being good team players, or screwing people over with break times it just was not a good environment. I had coworkers and supervisors who just sat around on their computers not doing their work and you could tell in the details. I decided to leave to take care of myself. The crisis work was not good for my mental health and I took off extra hours of PTO in order to take care of myself but it all became too overwhelming and I stepped away. They give you all of your PTO at once and do not give you a good way to know how much you have accrued. I signed a policy saying they could keep my last check if I had used unearned hours, which was fine. Come to find out I have gotten charged for more than double the amount of hours I even used. They told me they are keeping my last check and that I even owe them money on top of that. I have reached out to HR multiple times to resolve this and I have not gotten any response. Now I am not uninformed and know to make a labor claim to have it investigated, but the investigation results will not become public knowledge and YOU need to know this before getting involved here. I know people who have worked here and they have done the same to them, making up hours, and charging the people who were there to serve the mission. They run this place not by their mission, it is a business, and a skeezy one at that. If interested in crisis work and CMH level services I recommend going to a core provider in the area. Trust me, I have worked in CMH level services in Oakland, and Wayne and you do not want to get sucked into this place with some of their practices. I heard they are currently experiencing a large worker shortage, and I now know why, and I urge you to never have to find it out for yourself. They will punish you when you leave, and make you jump through hoops to get resolution for their retaliation.
