Pros

I’ve been at STAR for over 5 years. They invested in me from the time I was a BT and it got me to where I am now. STAR provided all of my BCBA supervision hours, and my CM even took the time to help me study for my exam. I strongly believe the experience and mentorship I received here helped me to pass the exam on my first try, and set me up for success as a BCBA. Additionally, STAR is very ethical and puts their clients needs as a first priority, and BT’s as well. Overall, I’m extremely happy and satisfied with my employment at STAR, and plan to continue working here!

Cons

No company is perfect! Scheduling/HR policies could be improved, but I’m still very happy with my position and I love who I work with!

Thank you so much for your feedback. We recognize the behavior technician entry-level position can be challenging for some folks financially, which is why we’ve increased pay raises and provide incentives for staff to pursue professional development. If you have additional feedback or any questions or concerns, please call Human Resources at 866-600-7598.

Pros

Can create your own schedule within reason and they have a decent rate of pay.

Cons

HR staff involved in the hiring process seem to be confused about some of the core components of services, communication between behavior techs and clinical supervisors is disorganized and too slow in my opinion, and they tend to look the other way when new employees voice valid concerns. Also no good benefits, even though they say it isn't a "contractor" position, it essentially functions as one.
