Pros

2 week vacation time and separate sick bank. If you do well at your position they will continuously give you more responsibilities without more pay.

Cons

Employee turnover is high because there is no potential for promotion. Even if there was, your pay will be at an unacceptable level. Opportunity to advance is slim because departments will hold their "best people" back because there is lack of employees who have been with the company over 3 years. The pay practices here are evil. Salary is not discussed and position salary ranges are "anonymous." If you are below that pay range, they will not bump you up to the MINIMUM because of internal promotion rules. The Company runs "lean" so you get insulting annual raise and few tools available to do the job you need to do. All this goes on while the CEO, CFO and other top management fly to horse raises and back and forth to their homes on one of the company jets, EACH WEEKEND. Patient and "community cares" are myths. It is all about pushing for more profit. We have to do training because of a settlement with the Department of Justice but the e-mail the CEO sent out discussing it did not mention it was due to the lawsuit. He must think the employees are stupid.

Competitive salaries and start up bonuses.

After working for sometime at a CHS run hospital I have finally realized Corporate couldn't careless about physicians. We are sadly a disposable, replaceable commodity. Many physicians have come and gone feeling the same. CHS places administration and management on a pedestal! They don't appear to careless about input from physicians. All decisions are made from the top and run down the line to the bottom of the trough (to the physicians). Profit, not patient, physician, or employee satisfaction seem to matter much. Think twice before joining CHS run hospitals. It has been a sad experience for me. Employment contracts are carefully worded to enslave you more. Dont be fooled by the salary or start up bonus!

I was employed !

I was hired as a warm body to fill a position that i was not qualified for. After being in the position for six months as required by policy, I applied for the IT department for which I have twelve years of experience and degree and belonged from the beginning was let go / made to resign.
