Pros

Health insurance very good; other benefits are pretty standard. Marketing and sales departments are well-funded so name recognition in most markets is good.

Cons

Corporate executives in Franklin, TN completely disconnected from hospital operations. Number one driving goal is profit-making, Quality of patient care declines in every community when CHS moves into town due to skeletal staffing models in all facilities.

Pros

A growing company with good benefits

Cons

Chs At Lakeway clinics, very poor management. They bend rules as they see is convient with favorite employees (plays favorites) Hard work is not rewarded instead the people that call in, take smoke breaks, leave work unfinished, dont work as a team, all get the same raise which, is 2% of your hr wage if you get it that year. Management delegates to others but take credit.

Pros

excellent benefits, amazing co-workers, but this is becoming less and less with good nurses leaving every day.

Cons

Almighty $$$$ oriented. raises are minimal if at all and even then they NEVER come in when promised. there's usually a delay of 1-2 times of saying the raises are coming, but everyone knows it will still be another month or two-but at least they are retroactive. approval time of filling empty positions is length so staffing short. would rather hire agency nurses than hire their own or invest in the good staff they have. training is minimal and and staff is usually lacking all of the credentials they are required to have for care, including BLS and competencies. Very top heavy in terms of administration who strangely are never without all of the staff they need and have minimal actual healthcare experience and don't even necessarily understand healthcare terms. Big push for bringing patients in and getting them out, but ZERO push for enhancing or providing safe care for patients while they are staying. no consideration given for whether or not staffing will support the number of patients on a given floor, expectations the same for safe care whether or not staffing numbers will support this
