Pros

I am challenged every day! The emotional rewards of giving people the gift of hospice is beyond any job out there. The team is very supportive and share the passion of helping & serving others. I feel very supported and if it were easy, then we wouldn't be the best!

Cons

Like every job, there are good days and bad. People personalities can be difficult. The work never ends and the expectations are high. People die every day and that can take an emotional strain. The biggest competition is the lack of knowledge about hospice.

What a great review of your time with Compassus. Hospice is certainly a challenging industry and it takes special people to deliver physical, emotional and spiritual care at the end of life. All about the money.

Pros

Decent pay, generous time off. Well, there's a twenty word minimum so this is all filler. Really. Not many "pros".

Cons

Management doesn't listen. I read in one review about HIPAA violations. That's just the tip of the illegal iceberg. What's worse is that the head honchos know everything that's going on and choose to ignore it. HR is a total joke. This company cares about NOTHING but the bottom line. And God help you if you try to make any complaints about anything. You are immediately a target for hostility and bullying. I've seen it. The people who actually provide the patient care are amazing and truly want to make a difference. I think that's the only reason anyone sticks around. We're afraid of what will happen to our patients if we leave. This company drives away anyone who advocates for their patients. Don't risk your license or reputation for these people.
