Cool people but uninspiring culture

Pros

Lots of cool people who know a lot of art, music, style, etc.

Cons

Senior management wasn't that inspiring. The culture is one of bullying and the people in charge have poor leadership skills and rely on non-managers to do their jobs. There's also a buddy-buddy relationship between the editor in chief and the staff, so that those close to him are protected from criticism.

Pros

Great place to work if you are looking to work in the magazine and media industry. Everyone is very easy going and personable. Makes the work day that much more enjoyable. Always something fun going on in the office whether it be events the company is marketing or staff happy hours. 8-6 job hours, but you will most likely stay later some days during the week. Work hard and you will see how successful you can be
