Pros
I feel a sense of accomplishment in my job and like I am helping people. The team at my site is strong, Management has recently become much more responsive to employee concerns as a company overall. There are many opportunities to be involved in committees and increase my knowledge base. The current chief operating officer seems to care about employee satisfaction. Recent pay raises have made the company much more desirable to work for.
Cons
We are chronically understaffed. Even management's idea of "fully staffed" is inadequate. Too much weekend work is required. Employees who have been with the company for years get to opt out of doing things that newer employees are required to do and have negotiated preferential schedules that newer employees can't.
