Pros

Being a part of the best company in publishing. If you possess the competitive/warrior spirit, you will thrive in this environment. The pace is fast, the support is endless and you'll be working with the brightest people in the business. Condé is the place to make your career mark.

Cons

Great work doesn't happen overnight, so expect to put in lots of hours. Those who are adverse to hard work should think twice about submitting your resumes. Know that your skills, endurance and genius (or lack thereof) will be tested on day one.

Pros

Bragging rights, another notch on the resume. Really, the name itself is sometimes reason enough for people. If you position yourself correctly, you will meet the famous designers and get to handle the amazing clothes. I just didn't care enough about those things to make it all worthwhile for me.

Cons

16 Hour Work days. Making your boss LOADS of money while you barely make rent. Losing all respect for yourself while making no impact on the world. I mean, some people love it. It just wasn't for me. The editorial side was better than the event planning side for me.

Pros

Opportunity to work on high-quality publications which are leading the magazine world. There is also a dedication to producing great work by all departments, not just the forward-facing ones. The company is organized well, with competent leadership heading up teams with a cohesive purpose and vision.

Cons

Difficulty with interdepartmental organized communication - often lots of meetings are scheduled, which does help communication but in an inefficient way. There are also many legacy systems in place, which make producing projects more cumbersome than it should be. There is some doubt as to the company's long-term strategy - the recent technology purchases are either brilliant or just grasping at straws buying hip companies and hoping things work out.
