Pros
Good benefits package, generous PTO. Free CE's. Some form of tuition assistance if criteria is met. Excellent value system for patients. My manager is excellent.
Cons
Outpatient RN salaries are very poor. Little to no opportunity for wage increase. Long term employees "top out" on wage. Regular employees get no more than 3% per year which barely covers cost of living and includes no incentive pay. Hospital side RN's have union access and therefore bargaining power, though for some reason other nurses that work hospital side such as case managers do not. I'm not sure what the legalities of that are. End of story, if you aren't literally breaking your back at the bedside you won't be paid fairly even if you possess specialized skills and credentialing.
