Pros

Confluent is an excellent company with really great authentic, smart, humble leadership.

Cons

They hired a lot of top talent but have failed to provide new opportunities for them in the last couple years so they are losing folks to other orgs as they fail to promote and develop their team

Pros

- There are some really sharp people at Confluent. If you are proactive in learning from your peers, you can grow a lot as a professional and build out a strong network - The pay is good compared to the market

Cons

- There was so much organizational change this year that I don't think any department has fully recovered from it yet. Some seemed like a good change, and others just made no sense (STREAMING PROJECTS). - The levels of constant inspection at this company border on the absurd. It's almost a miracle that anything actually gets done with the limited time we have outside of inspection meetings that we have to attend and inspection materials / processes we have to follow

The benefits are good. The CEO is trying but a lot of great people abandoning ship. I’m grateful for the experience at Confluent but it was draining.

Cons

You’re constantly pushed to meet high qoutas that keep getting higher . Promotions are unfairly given and rarely given.
