Feel like an employee and not a number!

Pros

The people, it's been a very "family" feel as opposed to a number in a globally matrixed environment—collaborative environment and open to new ideas.

Cons

Currently, Connection is experiencing the post-COVID "great reshuffle" like many organizations; the silver lining is that it allows for new talent and ideas.

Pros

The people I get to work with in the lab.

Cons

Since the pandemic tech companies such as this 1 has enjoyed a windfall of revenue due to stay at home orders causing more people to need devices and software but due to the greed of this windfall this has posed a problem for many employees that keep getting thrown under the bus when it comes to constant overtime and now being told that they want volunteers to work on companywide scheduled time off but if they don’t get enough volunteers then everyone will be forced to come in. Another problem is the overwhelming amount of work that comes into the lab with no foresight on how much we can actually do with the amount of people we have, I know there is talk of getting more employees but that needs to happen first instead of overworking the employees we have now witch brings me to another point that we are not able to get to all customer configs witch will cause these customers to go else where so the logical step would be to only bring in the amount of work we can handle while staffing the lab. We also need to pump the brakes on sales for being aloud to bring in more work than we can handle but we also need a Vice Present that will actual do something about it instead of giving us run around reasons why we are getting so much work. The people at the top of the company ladder are the true winners of this windfall because the employees definitely are not seeing any of it. Be ready when the pandemic is finally over because going about it this way will be short lived for many people coming aboard.
