Upper management takes no time to get to know their workers. They only speak with the people report to them or their peers. They are more focused on the Sales aspect of the company then they are about the services. Advancement within the company is minimal. They don't really like to hire within.

So the company decided to black at all vacation time for (assuming all) lab technicians at the end of every quarter so they can do their end of the quarter grind like a lot of companies to look profitable just to name 1 reason out of many others and I get it BUT locking out any 1 from taking time off even if it's the end of the quarter is simply poor management and not fair to the employees, I get that the company can't let everyone off but the company gives vacation time to the employees making it theirs to use whenever they want not when the company dictates. If there is not enough people to cover area like the lab then it might be a good idea to look towards a temp company to cover the spread.
