Pros

Great people, deep expertise and knowledge among SME's, Flexible work life balance.

Cons

Low to no management fortitude to do the hard things to ensure ongoing company success. The company for years has attempted to move away from custom sales to a standard product but has struggled to do so . .. as a result lots of custom projects with little understanding of impact on profitability. Not surprisingly the company has had a difficult financial go of it and as a result has cut employees on a regular basis. On a more day to day level there is a general under-utilization of talent largely due to immature processes and leadership structure.

Pros

Remote situation is pretty flexible. Colleagues are great.

Cons

Company is more centered around numbers and profits rather than employee satisfaction. Very difficult to move up or get promoted. Base salaries typically below market levels.
