Pros

I can't think of any pros

Cons

This company had a hard time telling the truth from the time I was interviewed and going forward. They were basically looking for a warm body and they would say anything or omit valuable info to get that body. Training is non-existent and you're basically pushed in the deep end of a pool and you have to sink or swim. The training we had on Medicare was by someone who wasn't an agent himself. He talked about his family and his daughters and their divorces and that their husbands looked at porn. There was minimal training on the system. We had to figure it out. And they have over 5 programs to do what one program would do. When I would ask for help I was told that I'd figure it out. Supervisors are untrained also and can't answer a lot of questions. Their bottom line is keeping their contract with Wellpoint and to hell with the employee or customer. Customer Service is atrocious, but all they want us to do is push the people off the phones so they can meet adherence guidelines. Customers are transferred multiple times since the CS agents haven't been trained and don't know how to help people. The interviewers, HR, the non-trainers, and supervisors can't tell it straight. The agents are under phone adherence standards and if you take longer than they want you to spend with a customer then we're not meeting adherence. They will change your schedule whenever they want without asking you if you can work those hours. The schedulers could care less who you are and when you can work. Of course, this wasn't told to us in the interview or during orientation. I started out with one schedule which was working for me and then switched to another schedule that stared 2 1/2 hours later without being asked. When I did sign on for health insurance it was fairly decent insurance but then that quickly changed. The first of 2015 they changed insurance companies and to keep my same level of insurance it went from $23 to around $120 per month. They brought in a smooth talking agent from UHC to make us think that we were getting a great deal. HR couldn't even tell us - they had to bring in someone to make us fell good about getting less insurance and paying 5x as much. The pay isn't enough but of course it's like other companies who say they pay a competitive wage. That means since the other companies pay little they will, also. This company is a nightmare to say the least. They boast that they are 86th fastest growing company in the US and 12th in the Healthcare industry. But what they don't tell you is that their customer service should be at the bottom of the list and employee retention is down there also. They are about the bottom line and they don't care how they achieve it so their ranking does not tell the whole story. They will also put younger age people in as supervisors which is ok since they might know the system but they are usually on power trips and don't have people skills. Run, Run Run as fast as you can from this company. This is the worst company I have ever worked for and I've worked for some pretty bad ones. This ones takes the cake.
