Like any job, it has it's Pros and Cons

Pros

Some excellent leaders, though not all. Benefits are ok. I love working remote, can't beat that. Some projects have decent pay. They do spiffs, and bonuses for management.

Cons

TERRIBLY INEFFICIENT HR DEPARTMENT. Very frequent Reductions in Force, but that's the game selling Medicare plans. No commissions, and the spiffs are (blows raspberry) nothing to get excited about. In my project, it's a lot of pressure to perform in sales, except without the commission to add some positive reinforcement. It's a stable gig, but it's all whip and very little carrot.

Pros

They are great in working with schedules and the unexpected. Communication is the key, as long as you talk to them and provide what they need they will work with you on a schedule that works for you. If you put in the work you can move up, you need to understand how business works. People too often feel entitled to upward movement without putting in the work. If you aren't licensed they do have a class to help you get your license which opens the door for higher pay.

Cons

Pay is slightly behind market average, and for many this does start as temporary work. Benefits are okay but like a lot of places has crazy high deductibles.
