Pros

When the economy is good the pay and benefits are fantastic! The New Hire organization put together some fun events and was probably the highlight of my tenure.

Cons

All levels of management have no concept of loyalty to their employees. If you're not accepted as part of the "in" crowd, you might as well start looking for your post-layoff career. The environment is extremely political and stuffy. They will money-whip you to get you in the door, and then treat you like garbage as long as you're willing to come to work every day and deal with the stress of "will my position be eliminated today?"

Pros

The work life balance is incredible and historically the company has provided more-than-competitive benefits, salaries & bonuses. Majority of the people are good to work with as well. And the gym.

Cons

In the recent energy downturn, the career opportunities and salary increases are non-existent. Living in fear of being laid off for the past two years has also been a pretty big bummer. We've been through 3 or 4 official rounds of lay-offs.
