      Pros

      Good people at the local level and the brand still has awareness; unfortunately it is fading fast

      Cons

      Multiple layers of redundant & incompetent management that hinder the people trying to conduct business, and stifles new ideas or changes. Overpriced products with no intrinsic value over the competitors’ products. I have worked in numerous regions and the consensus is the same all over. The lack of transparency regarding the company’s future and appearance to only focus on the short-term quick buck makes it a nice place to visit, but you wouldn’t want to live here!

      Great job, good people, poor senior leadership that gets in the way of having a great company

      Pros

      Great sales and marketing position, with great exposure to market due to breadth of portfolio. Create your own schedule, good benefits (car, phone, med, etc) Technical experts and staff second to none. Old company promised good return for good work, you reap what you sow.

      Cons

      Management (ELC) gets in the way of progress and growth Stifilng of regional management to conform to a National model which doesn't work, since engineering/construction markets are regional. Nationalization has alienated customers and compromised product quality. Inability of management to embrace 21st Century "Consultative Selling" of highly engineered systems and "Value Added" approach to customers. Pressure to conform to Corporate initiatives for performance metrics, such as number of calls per week and reporting, rather than letting the sales numbers speak for success. Company let too many good people go without realizing how poorly they would be missed and how underappreciated they were.

      Very sharp people. Most are self motivated, high achievers.

      Cons

      The culture dictates a lot of hours per week.
