Pros

Good benefits, good working hours, good pay. It is relatively easy to become a subject matter expert in your position.

Cons

Many managers are technical experts, and lack key managerial skills. Training for soft skills would be beneficial. Some positions, are very unique and one of a kind, and the skills built may not be directly transferable to other positions.

Working with County employees within each County department that do not have the correct training for the purchsing function.

Cons

Per diem cma's can only work up to 1600 hours in the county unless offered a full time position. No benefits for per diem employees.
