A Cautionary Tale: Glitter Masks a Toxic Workplace

Pros

Hybrid, Free food, Activity, and gifts

Cons

I joined this company with high hopes, enticed by the allure of its vibrant culture. However, the sheen quickly faded, revealing a deeply troubling work environment where communication is an issue and they are always on a perpetual catch-up or chronic rushing due to the broader problem of their overcommitment syndrome. While the company frequently promotes a 'we are like family' ethos, this often translates into blurred professional boundaries. The atmosphere is riddled with nepotism, and diversity is virtually non-existent. This lack of diversity isn't just a number issue; it's reflected in every aspect of the company's culture and practices. Senior employees often engage in gossip and backbiting, targeting junior staff. My personal experience has been nothing short of harrowing. As a junior, I was subjected to continuous disparagement behind my back, and the management's indifference to such issues was astonishing. Professionalism is a foreign concept here. I've witnessed, and personally experienced, seniors using intimidation and screaming as a tactic to assert dominance and express their feelings. This behavior goes beyond professional misconduct and borders on emotional and psychological abuse. My mentor, who was supposed to guide and support me, became a source of constant stress and anxiety. Their behavior was not only unprofessional but also emotionally damaging. The office parties, which I initially thought were a perk, turned out to be breeding grounds for inappropriate behaviors. These events, which blur personal and professional boundaries, have no place in a healthy work environment. In conclusion, while the surface-level perks might seem appealing, they are a thin veil covering a toxic and harmful work culture. I would advise anyone considering a position here to tread carefully and consider the long-term implications on their mental and professional well-being.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We take all feedback seriously as it helps us understand where we can improve and grow as an organization. We are deeply disappointed to hear about the experience you've described as it is completely counter to the positive, supportive atmosphere the rest of our team members experience on a daily basis. Conversion Interactive Agency is well known for its inclusive and respectful culture. We genuinely regret that you feel your experience did not align with that culture blueprint but wish you the best in your future endeavors. Please rest assured that we have escalated your concerns for further discussion and investigation by our internal teams.

Pros

Company parties and Bonus programs.

Cons

Very clique environment, I knew more about employees' personal life than I cared to know. Many did not hold the company's vale of "staying above the line," including management. Favoritism, if you are not a family member or close friend, it will seem like you do not have a voice and they will push out if they do not like personal Nepotism, 25% of the company is family Cronyism, 20% of the company are friends or friends of friends. No HR department. No growth opportunities.

Everyone is working toward a common goal and the transparency from management is truly refreshing. There is so much room for personal growth and learning. New ideas are encouraged and taken seriously.

It can get busy - bring time management skills!
